Kahnawake Gaming Commission to Enter Partnership With eCOGRA

Gambling News - January 28th, 2010 - Written By Glen

kahnawakeMany of the USA online gambling sites operate through the licenses provided by the Kahnawake Gaming Commission. In order to ensure the validity of their licensees, the Kahnawake Gaming Commission actively employs third party consultants to inspect the gaming centers under their umbrella. Since 1999, the Gaming Commission has been one of the most reputable sources of casino licensing, and a recent announcement of a partnership with eCOGRA, the e-Commerce Online Gaming Regulation and Assurance, has raised the bar for Kahnawake once again.

In a recent news release, the chairman of the Kahnawake Gaming Commission, Dean Montour, announced that the Continuous Compliance Program is to launch in order to maintain their gaming centers. The Continuous Compliance Program, backed by the reputable reputation of eCOGRA, is to oversee the fair play that is taking place through any of the licencees under the KGC, which includes the Bodog brand, the CEREUS Poker Network, which includes UltimateBet and Absolute Poker, and almost fifty other brands.

Every year, the licensees will be examined by the Continuous Compliance Program. This assessment will audit live gaming data in order to evaluate whether or not the pay out percentages are set to required limits, as well as to ensure the functionality of the random number generators. Player's are to be kept safe by these programs, all supervised by eCOGRA's staff.

"We look forward to the considerable task ahead and have almost completed four initial test reviews that have generated enthusiastic feedback from the operators concerned," began Andrew Beveridge, Chief Executive Officer of eCOGRA. "The most important aspect of this program is that players will be safer, and that can only be to the credit of the industry."

Whether or not online gambling is fair is one thing many players look for prior to joining any online gambling community. In order to preserve their existing and future player bases, the Kahnawake Gaming Commission has taken major steps to improve their own degree of fair play. The CEREUS Poker Network, operating under the KGC, has recently been restored to honor by eCOGRA, and the combined forces of both entities, the Kahnawake Gaming Commission as well as eCOGRA, will ensure that none of the licensees will fall from grace.
