bookmakerTwo small yet reputable sports betting sites have recently been acquired by the sports betting giant that is Bookmaker. Bookmaker, one of the most commonly used online sportsbooks, has recently taken over Bet Canadian and Las Palmas, further expanding the horizons of all parties involved.

Las Palmas has been operating fluidly since 2001, but recent times, early 2009 had shown troubling with pay outs. Members had been complaining over slow pay outs, which is a problem that Bookmaker assures will be resolved. Bookmaker has claimed that the Las Palmas brand will remain in place, while the level of quality in terms of service will be on par with Bookmaker.

"Maintaining our growth strategy is critical for us, and we continue to achieve our goals by finding strong players in the industry that can complete our wide range of products, or by sharing our benefits with customers that have been playing with other companies through the acquisition," said Mickey Richardson, Bookmaker's CEO.

With the UIGEA complicating online sports betting for USA players, the recent delay in the bill's activation date has made it slightly easier for players to continue wagering without difficulty in processing their payments. Bookmaker, however, continues to accept the most sportsbook deposit methods and has higher rates of success than most other sports betting sites.
