Pennsylvania Surpasses Neighboring States in Casino Slot Revenue

Casino News - January 22nd, 2010 - Written By Glen

casinoPennsylvania's slot games, while still relatively young, have managed to steal much of the market. A recent report released by consultants shows that December's slot revenues completely blew away the competition - including New Jersey's Atlantic City.

Spectrum Gaming Group, after analyzing the data, showed that the win taken by Pennsylvania Casinos had surpassed New Jersey's by that of $10 million dollars. Joseph Weinert, senior VP for Spectrum, stated that Pennsylvania won $189 million dollars in slots.

The study also found that Pennsylvania's young casinos have out classed New Jersey's in term so money taken in to slot games had also beat New Jersey in revenue.

Pennsylvania's casino industry has been thriving, but also expanding. In January, Pennsylvania legislators had passed table games, adding to the potential profitability of the casinos.

Pennsylvania Online Casinos may start losing ground to the fully operational casinos that Pennsylvania is incorporating. Many institutions stand to benefit from the increasing revenues found through these gaming centers.
