Best Odds to Win the 2010 College Football National Championship

Sports Betting News - July 31st, 2009 - Written by Ryan Smith

If you like to bet on the favorite to win, than start wagering on the Florida Gators, last years college football National Champions. They are the most favored team to win the championship this year at 2/1 odds, check out College football odds to win the National Championship at Bodog. With good reason too, the Gators lost only one game last year and have arguably the best college football player on their team in Tim Tebow. Not to mention arguably the best college football coach in all the land with Urban Meyer calling the plays. The combination of Meyer and Tebow have led to 2 national Championships in the last three years, and the Gators could possibly make it 3 in 4 years if they win it again this year.

The next favored team to win the National Championship in 2010 is Texas. The Texas Long Horns come into the 2010 season with 4-1 odds to win the National Championship, and also have Quarterback Colt McCoy returning for his senior season. The Long Horns missed out on the National Championship game last year even though they held a better record then Oklahoma. However since Oklahoma and Texas are in the same conference, the Sooners ended up making it to the promise land over the Texas team. The Long Horns will come into the season ready to show the BCS they deserved a chance at the Title last year. McCoy ended the season last year with the best passing percentage out of any quarterback in college football and for that reason the Long Horns should have a great chance to win it all in 2010.

The Oklahoma Sooners who lost to the Florida Gators last year in the National Championship Game are also a heavy favorite to win it in 2010. The Sooners enter the 2010 season with 6/1 odds to win the final game of the season and also have their quarterback returning under center in 2010. The Sooners quarterback is Sam Bradford, Bradford won the Heisman Trophy last year, and is now recognized as the best college football player at the moment. The Sooners had a good chance to win the championship last year but couldn't match the passion and intensity of Tim Tebow and the Florida gators. The Sooners will have to play just as well as they played last year if they want to take home the title in 2010. The Sooners and the Long Horns play in the same conference and are in the same division, the South, so only one team can make it to the Championship game.
