Poker News - November 14th, 2009 - Written by Glen

tom dwanTom Dwan has made a permanent mark on the online poker world, and has recently moved to live cash games and tournaments to earn his keep. The influential young man has been a star on Full Tilt online poker, and has recently been inducted as the newest addition to Team Full Tilt.

Joining such stars as Patrik Antonious, Howard Lederer, and Chris "Jesus" Ferguson, Dwan will now be one of the key players of Full Tilt. Dwan has made his fortune through the nose bleed cash games found on Full Tilt, out performing such greats as Phil Ivey, Antonious, and David Benyamine. Dwan has, however, encountered a nemesis - an enigmatic Swedish player known only as Isildur1.

Having lost nearly $3 million to Isildur1 in the last week alone, Dwan has issued a formal challenge. Having chosen Isuldur1, he aims to meet his opponent in London to participate in a live heads up game. Dwan will be in London to participate in the live events of the Durrrr Million Dollar Challenge, which has been operating online through Full Tilt Poker. No other USA online poker room has had such an event.

The rules of the game run easy. The game will be heads up No limit Hold 'em or Pot Limit Omaha. Blinds will be a static $500/$1,000 and each player must buy in for $500,000. Five hundred hands must be played, giving the victory to he who ends with the most. The only other way to leave the table is by busting out.

Though Isildur has not yet responded to the challenge, Dwan as well as spectators are hopeful for this clash of titans.

Tom Dwan has become a multi-millionaire playing through the Internet, and has gone as far as to take major victory in late night poker TV shows, cash several times in the WSOP, and take his share of a WPT final table.
