Eagles head coach Andy Reid said that Donovan McNabb is "pretty sore" after cracking a rib in Sunday's win against the Panthers. McNabb, however, said he will do whatever he can to play next week. Philadelphia will likely need him. They are set to face the most prolific offenses when they meet Drew Brees and the Saints.

COLTS' GONZALEZ AILING
The Indianapolis Colts are monitoring an right knee injury suffered by wide out Anthony Gonzalez Sunday. ESPN's Adam Schefter confirmed that he has strained ligaments in his knee after falling to the ground untouched on a running play. He is expected to miss 2-6 weeks.

GIANTS DOWN NICKS, WARE
The New York Giants have a lot to be happy about after beating division rival Washington in the opener. They have less to be happy about after losing first-round pick Hakeem Nicks in the process. Head coach Tom Coughlin said that Nicks sprained his left foot in the fourth quarter and will probably miss two weeks. He also hinted at the possibility of him missing more time, noting that some players miss more time with the same injury. Nicks was hoping to fill the void left by Plaxico Burress and led all receivers in yards during the preseason. The G-Men also lost running back Danny Ware, who dislocated his shoulder.

EARLY NOMINEE FOR INJURY OF THE YEAR
In less of a typical NFL injury story and more of a Wile E. Coyote story, the Denver Broncos lost one of their linebackers to a puddle. Spencer Larsen fell in the locker room shower after slipping on a wet spot and injured his shoulder.
