While Tiger Woods is no stranger to headlines, reports of a secret love affair with a 34-year old mistress surfaced just a little over a week ago, and have undoubtedly taken a tole on his personal life. Sources say, a 911 call was placed in the wee hours of Friday morning, to report a vehicle that had been involved in a collision. Just outside their Isleworth mansion, the no. 1 golfer in the world got up close and personal with a fire hydrant located on his front lawn. The impact of the collision was reportedly enough to knock Woods unconscious for approximately six minutes.

His wife, Elin Woods, who heard the accident from her residence, came rushing to aid her husband. By the time the local emergency vehicles arrived, his wife had already managed to free him from their damaged 2009 Cadillac Escalade by allegedly smashing a golf club into the rear window and pulling him out. Woods was found resting on the ground, a little dazed and confused, with what seemed to be only miner visible injuries to his lips. Woods was escorted to a local hospital but was treated for his injuries and released.

The Florida Highway Patrol is conducting an investigation in to what may of caused the crash, but is getting little corporation from Woods himself. Officers approached his home some time after his release, hoping to ask questions regarding the incident, but they were greeted by Elin, who told investigators that Woods was sleeping and they may return at a later time for questioning. Since then, several interviews have been canceled and the Woods family appears to be unreachable for questioning.

While Tiger Woods is a sports icon who is constantly in the spotlight, this is one time we are not seeing the pro golfer smiling for the cameras. He has even pulled out of his own charity tournament, the Chevron World Challenge, claiming it is due to injuries sustained during the accident. Some find it a bit unusual that the star would be so unwilling to corporate with officers to resolve the issue and close the case. Others think, this is a personal matter and he is simply trying to keep it personal.
