Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Wins Auction for Jackson's Glove For $48,000

The King Of Pop will now and forever be remember at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, as they are now the proud owner of Michael Jackson's crystal covered white glove. Warwick Stone, a buyer for the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, purchased the famous glove worn by the King of Pop, for the low price of $48,000. Stone out bid 5 other participants from the United states and Canada.

Throughout Jackson's career, there were many idolizing followers. One of the many fashion trends of the 80's was that of Michael Jackson's glove. The famous crystal covered glove is most remembered for being worn during a 1983 appearance at the Motown 25 Television Special performance of "Billie Jean" , during which he performed the "Moon Walk" for the very first time. You could find a duplicate of his glove worn by fans all over the world. This popular trend lasted throughout the 80's and 90's.

During his 1996 History world tour, he visited Australia, where he blessed one fan with the crystal glove. Jackson just so happened to have a staring role in the movie "Ghots" and was attending the Australian premier, during which he tossed his glove in to the audience. Bill Hibble was the lucky fan to catch the glove thrown by the King of Pop himself.

Bill Hibble's mother inherited the glove after his passing several years ago. With the recent passing of Michael Jackson, his memorabilia has increased in value tremendously. Bill Hibble's mother thought it was a good time for the crystal glove to make yet another appearance. Bonhams & Goodmanaction , an auction house in Melbourne, Australia, is where the auction took place. Not surprisingly, there were a number of attendees, both from Austrailia and the United States, but only one lucky winner, Warwick Stone.
